it is almost christmas

it is hard to believe that next week is the clebration of the birth of Jesus...
it seems that i have been so busy doing, i'm not sure what! that i have neglected my blog!  my son, dusty told me to "cease production!" but i just cannot do that.  everyday is a new beginning and something always pops into my head that i want to create.  speaking of my head.....i am considering letting my hair go natural!  in january i will be 63, so perhaps it is time to let my hair match my face!  gray steaked hair and those oh so earned wrinkles!  i will keep you informed on that decision.

i wonder what the new year will bring.  surely it will be good health and prosperity! 

people's choice

Guess what?  After all was said and done my tree design won the "people's choice award".  Yes, I am so proud that the people found my design a little to the left!!  Makes me want to do it again next year!!  Please notice my French books about nothing....

today was one to savor.  no deadlines, no meetings, no work that had to be done....so i finally went to the market and got some real food!  it is easy to eat cereal for dinner when one has no hungry family to feed.

yesterday i decorated a beautiful holiday tree for competition.  well...it did not win, but everyone is talking about it!  and that is enough for me.  i wrapped it in wild grapevine, put fresh foliage in water tubes, hung spanish moss, and called it come to the botanical ball.  i was inspired by three dog night, "come to the celebrity ball".  hope to get a nice photo to share tomorrow when i go to disassemble it.  life is very interesting, as are people....they need to step one foot out of their tidy little boxes and look at the world with an asymmetric eye.
